Book A Class
At Restart the Heart CPR, we offer flexible class formats to meet your schedule and learning preferences. For each course—whether it’s CPR, AED, First Aid, or BLS for Healthcare Providers—you can choose between:
In-Person Training
- Learn and practice in a single session with a certified instructor
- Get immediate feedback and hands-on experience
- Ideal for those who prefer guided learning and more practice time
Blended Learning
- Complete the online portion at your own pace (videos, quizzes, modules)
- Schedule a short in-person skills check to demonstrate your techniques
- Great for busy schedules or those who live farther from training centers
Both formats lead to the same nationally recognized certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross. Whether you’re a parent, healthcare professional, or business owner, you can choose the path that works best for you.
Should You Take In-Person or Blended CPR Training?
Find the Format That Fits Your Life. As certified instructors with the American Red Cross and American Heart Association, we’ve taught both blended learning and in-person CPR courses for years. Each format leads to full certification—and each has its own strengths. Let’s break down the differences so you can choose what works best for you.
What’s the Difference?
- Blended Learning Complete lessons online at your own pace (videos, quizzes, modules), then meet us for a short in-person skills check.
- In-Person Training Learn and practice everything in one session—hands-on, start to finish.
Both formats result in full certification, but the experience and interaction vary.
Hands-On Practice
- In-Person Extended time on the mannequin with real-time feedback. We help you fine-tune your technique and share insights from real emergencies.
- Blended Includes a focused skills check. You’ll practice core techniques, but with less time for repetition and instructor interaction.
Cost
- Blended Slightly less expensive overall.
- In-Person Higher cost due to longer instructor-led sessions and more hands-on time.
Time
- Blended ~2 hours online + 1–2 hour skills session. Great for busy schedules and flexible learning.
- In-Person 5+ hours in one session (with breaks). Learn, practice, and certify all at once.
What Stands Out
In-person training allows for deeper engagement, more questions, and a thorough lecture. Students leave confident and well-prepared. Blended training also builds confidence—especially for those renewing certification or with prior experience.
Final Thoughts
- Blended Learning is ideal if you’re juggling a busy schedule, live far from a class, or are renewing your certification.
- In-Person Training is perfect for first-time students or those who prefer guided, hands-on learning and don’t have access to a computer.
